The Icefields Parkway is certainly one of the most beautiful routes in the world. The 227 km long highway is a section of Alberta Highway 93, named after the Columbia Icefield, one of the largest ice fields south of the Arctic Circle. It winds almost parallel to the continental divide through the spectacular landscape of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. It begins near the town of Lake Louise in Banff National Park and ends in the town of Jasper, further north, in Jasper National Park.
